What a wonderful night (and day!) Today we had the honor of celebrating our Church's 50th Anniversary. What started as a small group of 17, and then 30 at the first service has grown to an average attendence of over 700. Countless hearts turned toward Jesus and lives transformed - including ours. We heard stories from those that were there in the beginning, and heard plans for the future. We capped off our special evening service with two goosebump inducing songs and fireworks. The songs truly sum up God's goodness toward our beautiful church and our lives. .
“Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—".
"Praise God from whom all blessings flow"
Last day in Miami before we head off towards 🗽 to meet my parents who will be joining us for the rest of our vacay. Looking forward seeing them. They’ve never been to NYC. It has always been on their bucketlist. Will be a memorable trip and 50th anniversary celebration on their actual 4th of July wedding date 🎆. .
This picture was taken a few days ago, on Wednesday to be exact, when I visited the @vancleefandarpels store for a pre-launch viewing of the new 50th edition of Alhambra pieces. Known to always take pictures and videos (I’m also a youtuber) whenever I visit the store, I didn’t think that day would be any different. I was wrong. Apparently because I was getting a pre-launch viewing, I wasn’t allowed to take any pictures or videos. It makes sense. That’s being said, the pieces are definitely commemorative in nature; unique and exquisite. And this is nevertheless, a beautiful picture.
This week’s Throw Back Thursday goes out to Peter & Sheila Oprysko and Fr. Tom Griffith as the Ecclesial Team in charge of the Worldwide Marriage Encounter 50th Anniversary North American Convention.
No convention can be created by one couple or one priest alone. It takes an entire village to create an event of that magnitude. But, these three people are great examples of a quote from John Quincy Adams – “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.” Thank you Peter, Sheila, and Fr. Tom.
Have a throw back you want to share? Use #WWME59th & #TBT to let everyone know. We’ll get your permission to re-gram it!
