From a digital drawin model TO 3D physical object ! - 3D Printing is an additive manufacturing process that creates a physical object from a digital design. There are many technologies we ca use and materials we can print with, but all are based on the same principle: a digital model is turned into a solid 3D physical object. - "Additive" refers to the successive addition of thin layers between 16 to 180 microns or more to create the object we want. In fact, all 3D printing technologies are similar, as they construct an object layer by layer to create complex shapes.
So I’m just splitting files I found too big for my #3dprinter . Because I do not have a fancy splitting software I was able to do it via #tinkercad . It’s free and it’s simple, these will be parts for a special project I am doing....
So here’s the print that I had to restart after 4 hours due to Y-Axis shift.
Only adjustment was to turn the FR down 40% and voila. No shifting.
Now to troubleshoot the intermittent under extrusion I seem to be getting. (Nothing bondo won’t fix though) #3dprinting#starwarstrooper#tanktrooper
