I made this Greek style pot in tenth grade. My teacher wasn’t very good and didn’t want us to do this project. We had to beg her, even though it was part of the curriculum. She also said we were not allowed to use the red glaze, but I completely ignored her and did what I wanted, like a true artist. 😜
I was told that an art teacher from another school had a photo of it in her classroom because she liked it so much.
I still keep it displayed in my living room. It broke before, but I glued it back together.
The moral of the story is that sometimes art teachers and critics inhibit your artwork, so do it your way!
I was always into fantasy, so my pot has centaurs and mythological creatures.
When you have leftover paint and feel the need to use it up, you make something else. Here I took cotton balls and soaked them into the paint along with some #modpodge , then pulled shreds off, creating tiny bundles and, one at a time, layed and layered them, and made this small sparkly wreath with red berries. I believe I may turn it into an ornament for the tree. now to bring the tree upstairs🎄and get decorating! #wreath#miniaturewreath#3dart#textures#mixedmedia#mixedmediaart#JillBeeStuff
