Sugar free Pad Thai with courgetti/zoodles. Adapted from @theblendergirl recipe. I put a big dollop of tahini in the sauce and it was delicious 🤤 It’s easy to reach your 7/8/10 a day, whatever your goal is, with recipes like this. Courgette (lovely yellow ones too from my @barcombeorganic box), spring cabbage, carrots, spring onions and herbs make up the bulk of this meal - with added coconut aminos, sesame seeds, peanuts and prawns for plenty of protein. Garlic, ginger, lime, and a good slug of sesame oil. The sweet for the sour comes from a little maple syrup, and @redboatfishsauce for salty umami
Wednesdays we shove pasta in the oven in style.

A quick version of a ragu that I made on Stories if you want a squiz - with a time hack to make the flavours fuller and extra texture.
Got “ten double thumbs up”from the one now fully recovered.
My latest fave I’m munching with Love Island is a Kohlrabi, Hazelnut and Parmesan salad to die for that I’ve linked on stories too. 👌🏻
By day 3 of keeping these three on track solo (I’m so admiring of you solo full timers) I get in the zone, cancel any other part of my life that isn’t late work deadlines or child related and I feel like I’m killing it!
Roasted a chicken for tomorrow and got bday thank you list written tonight too!
I may have all bodies in my bed tonight and be not functioning by tomorrow but tonight it’s ALL GOOD.
Well done to anyone at it. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
So, I used to be able to bust out 40-50 push-ups in 2 minutes...standard push-ups PT style back in my ROTC days. I can barely do 10 now. Starting this today to improve strength and definition. 10 a Day, good form on your toes! And I need a visual or it just won’t happen! #pushupchallenge#10aday#goals
A quick salad post work out - loving being able to pick fresh lettuce from the garden at this time of year. I always load my salads with spinach - best eaten raw (25% of Folate can be lost through cooking), or sautéed - it is a fab green vegetable to eat daily. Add some heathy fats by sprinkling with seeds and olive oil, some feta cheese for protein and a slice of Rye bread 😉
The benefits of cherries come from their high levels of antioxidants that fight free radical damage and protect our cells. Recent research also indicates that cherries help remove excess body fat and increase melatonin thereby supporting a natural healthy sleep cycle.
Cherry consumption is associated with the prevention of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, inflammatory diseases, cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.

ENERGY 💫💫💫 FOOD: If you're going to eat a donut THEN this is the best option ☑️☑️☑️.
HOWEVER, even this can be a contentious statement in today's world 😜. Fruit 🍇🍉🍊🍍🍎🍐🍒🍓🥝 is demonised in some circles now but I will not have a bad word said about these donut peaches 😂🍑🍑🍑😂.
DEFINITELY AVOID ❎❎❎ products that 'masquerade' as fruit. By that I mean commercial fruit type bars, commercially prepared fruit juice (I mean... how can it be a good thing to be drinking something that has juice from one part of the world added to pulp from somewhere completely different 😕😕😕⁉️⁉️⁉️. AND THEN it's labelled natural...WTF 😤😤😤.
Also I'm not a huge fan or dried fruit BUT won't go on about it as I also don't like to bore people to death as that's NOT HEALTHY either 😂😂😂.
Eating a 🌈 means eating a variety of differently coloured fruit & vegetables to access the widest possible range of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients (naturally occurring chemicals that prevent disease). These saucy soba noodles might look like they contain only one shade of veg but you might be surprised to learn it’s actually broccoli, cauliflower, carrots & peas blended with a little miso, sesame oil & some nut butter. Incredibly simple, nourishing and oh so yum! Love it when fridge clear out creativity comes up trumps 😋
Having breakfast in the garden on a makeshift lounger with @lucybeecoconut @coconutmerchant @thatprotein @vegavero_gb for company...ok they’re all stuffed in this jar. 💚 It’s a hempy-choccy-nutty-bananay-proteiny-milkshake kids. Can you believe I’m suntan-cramming for tomorrow’s trip to Spain. I’m a #psoriasiswarrior it’s what we do 😊 Happy frickin’ Friday y’all ✌️ #fridaymood#fridayfeeling
#10aday seems impossible until you realize how much veggies cook down. I made a sheet pan of rainbow roasted veggies today which equated ten servings and Fit into a medium sized glass lock container. The bowl I had with dinner contained four servings, leaving six more for me tomorrow. 800 grams is a lot of raw leafies, but add some cooked veg in there and it's easy to see how you can make it happen. #veghunter#functionalnutritionist#foodasmedicine#functionalmedicine
Concerned about your cholesterol levels? What’s your HDL to LDL ratio? Did you know there’s lots of natural ways to reduce LDL known as the ‘bad’ cholesterol & increase HDL the ‘good’ cholesterol.
Easy additions to your daily diet & small lifestyle changes can make all the difference!
💫omega 3 fatty acids, eating oily fish 3 times a week or using a supplement 💫increase veg & fruit to #10aday
💫add fibre like psyllium or chia to get things moving regularly, elimination is extremely important in preventing cholesterol build up
💫reducing stress, cholesterol is the building block for cortisol, so greater stress=greater cholesterol 💫eat a rainbow of veg, herbs & spices for antioxidant properties 💫exercise daily 💫 Avoid sugar, processed foods, trans fats
N.B. If you’re on a statin already you need to be taking CoQ10! 👍
It’s DIABETES, BNF HEALTHY EATING & MEN’S HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK 2018! 🥗
*Diabetes Week* is an annual highlight in the @DiabetesUK calendar, as it's a time when supporters are brought together to raise awareness of the condition.
CAN DIABETES BE REVERSED? Check out 'The Fast Fix: Diabetes' on @ITV 9pm - 10pm, let's see what they report.
The @BBC’s ‘The Truth about Carbs’ programme made national headlines last week for good reasons! Dr Xand van Tulleken reminded us that "green carbs" such as salad greens and lentils are generally significantly healthier than "beige carbs" such as pasta and potatoes, and "white carbs" such as rice and biscuits. Most of the starch and sugar in these beige and white carbs are broken down into glucose for energy too quickly and cause energy ups and downs. When excessive glucose is consumed and not used by the body, the glucose is then stored as fat. Abdominal obesity is a risk factor for developing diabetes.
There are five health challenges are at the heart of *British Nutrition Foundation Healthy Eating Week*: 1) Have Breakfast 🍳 ; 2) Have 5 A Day l 🍅; 3) Drink plenty 💧; 4) Get active 🏃♂️; and 5) Try something new 💥 ! Sounds good to me 😁. 👦
Led by the Men's Health Forum, the purpose of *Men’s Health Week* is to raise awareness of preventable health issues and encourage men and boys to seek professional advice for health-related problems. Inner strength is as important as outer strength. Look after yourself! It doesn’t matter what other people think of you, but what does matter is that you feel well and are well. Seek the support that you need. 👴 🥦
We are excited to start our next Health & Travel boutique FREE challenge, in our private group!
Struggle to eat you 5-10 fruits/veg every day? We will help you, reset new habits, motivate and keep you accountable, give you recipe ideas and hacks to include more of the nutritious stuff in your diet. 🍎🍉🍇🥦🍊🍏

HEART PROTECTING DRAGON 🐉 FRUIT .
I live on berries back in the UK so it has been wonderful in Thailand to broaden my horizons and experiment with the vast assortment of fruit on offer here.
This anti-oxidant rich dragon fruit is one of my favourites - the vibrant colour is appealing in its own right but I love the texture and the not too sweet taste of this fruit 🍇.
Dragon fruits are a great source of phytonutrients as well as essential fatty acids and B vitamins so rich in nutrients which protect against heart disease, are anti-ageing and help with blood sugar balance. 👌
I really do love to travel and taste all the local produce -it’s one of my favourite parts of my holiday.
What exotic #fruits do you love?
Well hello there Wednesday, fancy seeing you here. I’m all flibbitygip ‘cos I’ve just inadvertently broke the internet with my breakfast (in my world anyway 😂). Was meant to be making a smoothie to sip whilst studying but...as Britney would say “oops I added too much lecithin...” or something like that 😉 What ever you do today, make it good. Be kind. Love you all. Yes even you, don’t be shy 💋 #winningwednesday
Now the warmer weather is here we are loving hearty smoothies for breakfast.
They are such a great way to pack in a good dose of fruit and veg before we even head out of the door on a morning.
We make our smoothies hearty affairs by adding in oats, vegan protein powder (no nasties just Pea protein) and nut butter! This mornings smoothie was frozen cauliflower (trust me, it adds the creamiest texture to a smoothie and you don’t taste the cauliflower flavour), banana, spinach, frozen berries, a good dollop of organic full fat yoghurt, a dash of cashew milk and a handful of oats. Whizzed up in the @nutribullet and sprinkled with some crunchy muesli for added crunch!
Smoothies are a great way to get well on your way to the recommend 10 portions of fruit and veg a day and the girls love them!
