Choya~ umeshu. Its another japanese plum wine.
This brand is very popular in japan, but this bottle in particular is produced in the UK for the western market.
The taste is pretty reminiscent of a sweet western white wine or moscato. It is more similar to western wines than other brands of umeshu that I have tried. It has a dry taste, much more than other brands. It is not as sweet as typical umeshu.
The colour is a light, peachy, pale golden colour.
I would probably not buy this one again right away. It was tasty and very enjoyable, but I think I prefer a more strongly fruity umeshu taste. This is probably a great choice for a first taste of umeshu, as well as being suitable for moscato lovers.
The packaging looks so japanese, right? I bought it from @japancentre london
