The hardest part of working with the public (as I currently do) is keeping a smile on and being friendly to those people who don't bring any joy with them. Those who are nasty and talk down to you or don't listen and act as if nothing you say matters.
Those people need even more love. As difficult as it is to be extra nice to the cranky people - especially as a highly sensitive empathic introvert - those are the ones who need it even more. Think about what must be going on in their lives to make them act that way to a stranger. The best part of being extra caring towards those people is getting them to finally crack that smile or see them relax a bit. I only spend 10 or 15 minutes with each person at my job, so if I can make someone feel a little bit better in that time, then I consider myself successful.
This doesn't mean I don't have bad days... I'm an introvert after all. There are always going to be times when I don't want to deal with anyone and I don't have the energy to pretend, but I do my best. And for myself a others, that's all that matters.💖 #love#loveislove#loveallpeople#humanityisourrace#loveismyreligion#mindfulness#mindfulhealing#mindfulmagick
Officially changed my address, and am now a Wallingford resident! 😊
One of my favorite things about living here is driving around and seeing all the fields of dedicated open space. Some of it is owned and kept by the town, but the majority of it is held by the Wallingford Land Trust. The Land Trust is a non-profit organization devoted to the preservation of natural habitats and areas of scenic beauty in Wallingford, CT. Today, the Trust manages fourteen properties, covering more than 200 acres! I’m very proud to be part of a community that values the protection of land and nature as much as I do 🙏🏼🌿
