Day 2 of @justacard week - what #justacard means to us:
As a Mum with a full-on job and a few bits on the side I value convenience (don’t we all?! 😂) but at the same time I hugely value my local community. I’ve lived in #westnorwood for 6 years and seen the area grow and thrive (thanks to the likes of @wn_feast for starters). I don’t want the high street to become a clinical, nondescript line up of cafes, supermarkets and chains. Behind every business in the area is a story and every purchase supports it. 🙌
Oh and while you’re here, take a look at the brilliant vid over on @popwestnorwood talking about their business 💇🏻♀️💁🏻♀️
Here’s a happy little film about POP West Norwood.
Local film makers Yan Murawski (yanmurawski.com) and Serkan Cetin from @hellosunrise.films joined forces to create the 60 second spot for Pop West Norwood, based on the idea of profiling small, family run business in the local community whilst also drawing attention to the use of Kevin Murphy’s @love_kevin_murphy ethically produced hair products. To maintain a sense of authenticity, the film depicts real clients and staff in what is a typical working day at the salon. The voice over is provided by owner, Poppy, who alongside hubby Sel and son, Kobie, have been running the salon for just over a year now. The music, kindly permitted by John Hardy music @johnhardymusic adds a subtle sense of movement to the piece, rich yet understated, it beautifully captures the gentle rhythm of the day.
