Caminando haaaaarrrto vale la pena
I miss walking down the streets, the ceremonial scent of slowly burning palo santo piercing my nose, the buttery, savory aroma of choclo y queso watering my taste buds. The vibrant tapestries tantalizing my eyes at every market stall. The buzz of women offering fresh fruit or juice to anyone passing by. The carefree feeling of exploring a new place with old friends. I miss Peru 🇵🇪
Mine is the Quinoa Chaufa at top, Papa a la Huancaina (Luisa) at bottom and Crema de Zapallo soup at left ( Liza). Our fourth time at the fabulous Peruvian restaurant Cuchara de Palo.
Slowing down until time seems to stop Forgetting what day it is Living careless Watching the corn grow Watching the stalks blow In the wind as the fruits shed their skin A simple life lived In a small Peruvian village Tears bubble up as I reminisce Truly a life changing experience And say goodby to what has been Goodbye to my Psychedelic familia and kin Soul mates of a similar essence Thank you to everyone who made this place a home for me My tribe family And all that contributed to the harmony And evolution of me All the nights in the teepee The nights beneath the stars Shaking our booty A life lived in simple synchronicity As one chapter closes Another door opens Waking into the unknown Surrendering now to wherever my feet are laid as my home
