It may not look like it, but this hill has helped me train for many battles in my life. Mentally and physically. It’s a reminder to me that sometimes our paths are going to be filled with fears and challenges that don’t go away easily. But as we get older we need to be able to revisit those fears and challenges and look them in the eyes, climb on top of them, and leave them behind us each time they appear. And the more we are able to do so - the stronger we get and the less intimidating the obstacle appears. Even if this means we come across it many times in our lives. Keep attacking and keep believing!
Throwback to a moving experience I had of getting to honor my late grandfather’s memory by adding his photo to the ofrenda (“altar”) of the Mexican celebration of Día de los Muertos (“Day of the Dead”) we had in our home last month. For my SA friends who don’t know what this is, go watch “Coco” ;)
