MOTIVATION // Getting and staying motivated is hard no matter who you are. If you’re feeling blah after a long day of doing life, getting in that group setting and being pumped up by your instructor will certainly reenergize you. PLUS if you have a competitive side and you’re sweating it out with peeps who might be a little faster, stronger, fitter than you they’re probably going to be a huge motivator / positive influence‼️
ACCOUNTABILITY // We often hear clients say “I totally would’ve slept in today if I knew so and so wouldn’t tease me for not being here!” They are holding each other accountable, and it’s amazing. Most instructors track who is there each class. If people are missing, the instructor / their friends from the group will check in and more than likely get their booty’s back into class.
CAMARADERIE // We are social creatures. A few of us might have our hermit moments but mostly we crave community and bonding with others. When you join a class, you’re probably going to meet some like-minded people who will inevitably become your friends. About a sewing class for the kiddos on November 16th! For $5 your munchkin can learn a few hand sewing basics like threading a needle, tying off thread, blanket stitch, & more! The little sweeties will be making a rice heating pack to keep, or give as a gift. The three patterns to choose from are Owl, Cat, or Colorful Square. Kids will need to be here from 4-6. (Which shouldn’t be a problem because they’ll be having so much fun!)

All ya need to do is purchase a punchcard for $20- 1 punch = 1 hour per child OR just pay $3 for 1 hour per kiddo.

The MRC even offers Chair Zumba with low impact moves from a seated position. This class focuses on strength, balance, range of motion, and coordination. We seriously have a class suited for everybody‼️

💦 After a good workout do you feel a lil’ bit dizzy, lightheaded, have painful muscle cramps, or nauseated? Those are all signs of dehydration, people! Symptoms of severe hydration include mental confusion a loss of consciousness. (YIKES!) It might seem silly to remind folks to drink water, but it is so so so important. 💦 🚴🏽♀️

While there are no exact rules for how much water to drink while working it out, there are some basic guidelines to follow before, during, and after you sweat it out. Start drinking water BEFORE you start exercising. 17 to 20 oz. about 2-3 hours before. Then about 8 oz. during your warm-up. While exercising drink 7-10 oz. every 10-20 minutes finally drink 8 oz. no more than 30 minutes after you’re done exercising. Some athletes even measure how much fluid they’re losing during exercise to get a more specific measurement of how much to drink. (That’s hardcore💪🏽.) Always check with your doctor to get details on your specific needs. ✅🏋🏽♀️

☀️Tabata. What the heck is that!?! We are often asked about the best ways to fit exercise into a busy schedule. While there are lots of ways, Tabata is one of our faves. (Yes. We meant to rhyme.)

Tabata training is a high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, featuring exercises that last four minutes. . . .
Here’s what ya do... ▪️Work out H A R D for 20 seconds
▪️Rest for 10 seconds
▪️Repeat the cycle for 8 rounds.

Here’s an example🏋🏽♀️
20 seconds of high intensity push-ups. Rest for 10 seconds. More push-ups for 20 seconds... once you’ve completed 8 sets R E S T for 1 full minute. Next move onto squats, then burpees, then mountain climbers. Repeating the same intervals as you did with the push-ups. High Intensity is the key here, people‼️
Combine Tabata with your regular fitness routine and see results. Have questions? Don’t know what in the heck a burpee is? That’s what our trainers are here for!
