I’m hanging out today in Santa Fe, New Mexico learning stuff at the American Indian Arts Market and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and eating corn with the most famous Native American silversmith I know, James Fendenheim. One of the things I learned at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum today is that the most famous Native American silversmith still has to check his small bag into a locker before we get to go into the museum but all of the nice white ladies (including the one with us) got to keep their bags or large purses on their arms. The irony of this of course was that the most famous Native American silversmith had like $20k worth of jewelry for sale carefully wrapped in white tissue paper in his bag and didn’t even have room in there to put a stolen painting. Just sayin’...#georgiaokeeffemuseum #santafe #ndncountry #whiteprivilege #cornonthecob #checkyourbag #callitlikeyouseeit #indiancountry #jamesfendenheim #santafenewmexico #mydissapearingwest #highdesertmystic #santafeindianmarket #swaia #swaia18 #sfim #sfim18
