Images at Everest Base Camp

Made it to the base camp at 5380m in one piece, Namaste 🙏
I've never been dressed in so many layers or experienced harsh winds at -23C. This has been a rather arduous experience teaching me a thing or two about survival. I saw some terrible things happening to fellow mountaineers and I really hope they're ok. When you're up in the mountains you have plenty of time to think about things and nature has a nice way of humbling you down. Last night when we slept at the minimal facilities at Gorakshep, the weather outside hit -25C and it literally froze my face before my body woke me the fuck up. What an experience! Heading down to warmer life 🌞. .

12 days well spent! That photo probably cost me a couple of hours of splitting headache, but hey - won’t have it any other way at 5380m :)) Thanks @tomlei21 for sharing this incredible experience with me! #livingthedream #everestbasecamp #ebc #nepal #dcgang

Can now tick Everest Base Camp off the bucket list ✔️ #nepal #travel #himalayas #everestbasecamp #trek #5380m
9days of intense trekking, I made it to Everest Base Camp (5360m). I totally underestimated how difficult it would be to get here. Altidude was only a small problem but walking for 8h a day, for 9 days took its toll on all of us.

And to think this is only the starting point for those climbing Everest - incredible!
Base Camp has a cold, isolated feeling about it. It's almost as if you can feel the dangers of the highest mountain in the world - #theeverest .

Dream, believe, achieve. We made it to #everestbasecamp What an epic, insane journey. We all have a huge sense of accomplishment along with smashing headaches and a couple of bad flus. Now for the 62km trek back to Lukla 😱. Yes I carried my pink teddy the whole way 💗#allthegearandnowsomeidea #notyourusualtrekkers #midlifecrisistravel
After 8 days of hiking proud to say that both Dad and I made it to Everest base camp today. Undoubtedly one of the most challenging but rewarding experiences of our lives, leading to this unforgettable and emotional moment. Very grateful to be able to share this memory with my Dad, as well as with a fantastic @intrepidtravel group lead by some fantastic guides. Would highly recommend a visit to the Himilayas if you ever get the chance, an incredibly magical place in the world.

Sherpa | ”it does not mean to carry something nor it is a job - it’s an ethnic group”.

No photo of our dear sherpas together but shall use this photo. The unsung rockstars of the trip, our guardians, our strength and our friends. The natural athletes of Nepal. Countless of time they came to our aid esp in our many medical situations. Shall quote a phrase from Nat Geo - “Everybody says “I climbed Everest”. Wrong, it is sherpas who climb. It is the sherpas who takes us to Everest”.
