Ended with 420lb on the squat, weighed in at 172!! So much love from everyone and I lifted that shit with everything I had. @cmccwhite came up behind me and told me “this is life and death and if you don’t get low enough on this squat your son is gonna die” my friend and I are like minded and we know what it takes AND THIS WAS THE RESULT! #getchamindright
Selah competed in her first powerlifting meet today. She was so focused and strong, it was truly amazing to watch. She paid attention to the commands, lifted with good form, and smiled the whole day. She went 8/9 on her lifts:
Squat 1: 22.5kg (49.5lb)
Squat 2: 25kg (55lb)
Squat 3: 27.5 (60.5lbs)
Bench 1: 10kg (22lbs)
Bench 2: 12.5kg (27.5lbs)
Bench 3: 15kg (33lbs)
Deadlift 1: 25kg (55lbs)
Deadlift 2: 30kg (66lbs)❌
Deadlift 3: 35kg (77lbs)
So proud of this strong, sweet girl. 💖
Meet 2 under my belt! (Get it? 😆) Went 6 for 9 today, misssing first bench attempt and last two deadlift attempts (bummed).
BUT, I hit 2 PR’s!!! 🙌🏽 hit 105kilo (231.5 lbs) for squat and hit a bench PR of 50kilo (110.2lbs) at 55kilo (121lb) bodyweight.
Thank you to @lifesporttrainingabq for sponsoring me in this meet & thank you to @sxfallen66 for being such a great training partner!
So excited to get back to training and keep improving 🙌🏽💪🏽
Very disappointing meet results. Finished 7/9 with a 1416 lb total and weighed in at 221 lbs.
Squat: went 3/3 with 513 lbs on my third. Only lift I was happy with. Added 33 lbs since my first meet last December.
Bench: went 2/3 with 331 lbs on my second and missed 342 lbs on my third (which I hit at the meet last December). Need to get the shoulders/neck/arms feeling good again and make some progress on this lift.
Deadlift: went 2/3 with 573 lbs on my second and missed 606 lbs on my third. Deadlifts felt good today but I couldn’t lock out at the top on the third attempt. Need to continue to work on the lockout.
Overall, just need to get stronger across the board. Second and third attempt videos posted.
Wish Selah luck as she competes in her first powerlifting competition! As soon as she learned that @usapowerlifting had an 8-9 year old division she was determined to train for a meet and compete. And here we are! 😍
