Just when you think you have found your go-to Vietnamese joint in Sydney, another pops up and wins your heart over. Forgot the noodle soups and the Banh mi (I know they are everyone’s favourite), I Love Pho in Crows Nest is serving up some of the most Authentic Vietnamese tasting meals I’ve had outside of Vietnam
The menu is huge! Great variety and prices are very reasonable indeed
▶️ Salt and pepper tofu was so light, flavoursome and the textures from the crispy batter and the pillow-like tofu made this dish a perfect starter
▶️ The Banh Xeo- I mean who doesn’t love Banh Xeo when executed perfectly. Crispy pancake filled with all the amazing ingredients. Prawns, pork, shallots and bread sprouts! Textural heaven in every bite
▶️Black Pepper Beef with Tomato Rice - what a combo! The beef cubes were so tender and the black pepper sauce took this beef dish to a whole new level. I can see why tomato rice is a favourite amongst the Vietnamese. Doesn’t sound appealing but for some reason it works and is now my new favourite type of rice!
▶️ Vermicelli noodle salad with grilled pork and spring rolls - When you combine a whole heap of fresh Vietnamese Ingredients in a bowl then top it off with grilled pork and spring rolls, your going to be on a winner 9.5 times out of 10. The pork had that much flavour it produces a party in your mouth every bite whilst not mentioning the crunch factor of those spring rolls!!! ON POINT! This dish had to be the winner of the day for me! Such a fun and exciting dish with so many flavours coming at you each mouthful
