Have you ever had to stop an exercise because of a wardrobe malfunction? I had to today. 2x max effort reps, at 80% of today’s 3RM push press. I had a few more reps in me, but had to stop as I could feel my pants very slowly rolling down my belly 😕 And nobody needs to see that! Followed by a WOD that I would have loved when I was fitter, but today just sucked, because #cardioishardio *********************************** #pushpress#wardrobemalfunction#strongnotskinny
Ive always tried to do everything in my power to not let my health hold me back. Some days it's easier said then done, but over the years I've learnt that the only thing that can hold us back is ourselves. It's our own limitations that we put on ourselves by thinking "I cant" when really its "I wont". You have to learn to overcome your own limited mindset and beliefs, have a little faith in yourself and put in the extra work to live life to the fullest.
First time standing today with a barbell and then tried shoulder to overhead. I've been practicing standing at home everyday and at crossfit. I'm so proud of myself, and even more so after the news from the surgeon today. The nerve has been damaged, and hes thinking it will be permanent. Surgery was bought up to see if we can get pressure off the nerve but at the moment we are hopeful I will keep improving like I have been. I go back in January and we will reassess how I am going and make some decisions if it comes to that.
Thanks to my Mum for helping me!!! ❤♿🏋️♀️ #blessednotbroken#spinalfusion#spinalsurgery#nervedamage#crossfit
