Images at Boston Public Library

I think this picture never gets old. No matter who takes it, how they edit it, etc. Its just such a photogenic place

When it’s rainy and gloomy outside, you buy yourself a blooming flower cupcake.

Great touring the @bplboston @BPLBoston today down on Boylston Street. Thank you again to @ASA_org @asaplan4college for an amazing workshop on College Readiness. Our fellows really enjoyed themselves! #MSYEP  #ASABoston  #MRL  #SummerProject  #Malden
“From the time I came to Boston back in 1980, the library, particularly the McKim Building, was a place of discovery, refuge, and solace. There, I learned about Sargent, met Andy Warhol, fell in love, and mourned loved ones. As I moved to various Boston neighborhoods, the branch libraries have allowed me to learn about my community and about myself as an artist and as a citizen. This project is my way of saying ‘thank you’ - to the library and its people for what they do for people like me every day,” said Steve Locke, City of Boston Artist-in-Residence ❤️ The second public art project of @svlocke‘s to share today is “Love Letter to a Library” at various @bplboston locations in Boston. As with Freddie Gray’s Memorial @gardnermuseum, this banner Project relied as much on Locke’s maneuvering of color, as it did on a sense of what art “does” in public 🎯 Great work Boston Art Commission, @karin.goodfellow, @bplboston! July – October: Central Library in Copley Square 🔜 August: Adams Street, Charlestown, South Boston, Hyde Park branches, September: Lower Mills, West Roxbury, Honan-Allston, West End branches, October: Codman Square, Egleston, Brighton, Fields Corner branches #tellmewhatyoulearned  #tellmewhatyouremember  #memoriesbpl  #bostonair  #publicart
