an online Instagram web viewer

There’s so much I learned from working with @alienlatina to create content for her Instagram and blog. It was definitely one of those days where I really felt like I was improving my skills as a photographer, and learning how to improve my instagram/social media skills.

1. Vertical photos receive better engagement. This is something I noticed while researching for this shoot and it makes total sense. Vertical photos take up much more real estate on phone screens than horizontal ones, so they tend to do better engagement-wise.

2. Cohesive feeds are important. Most people looking to follow you are going to look through your feed first and decide.

3. Captions! An engaging caption will give users a reason to stay on your post for longer.

I’m excited to continue to improve and learn. This was the first time I really was able to focus 100% on how photos look on Instagram and the web, and hopefully I’ll get to do more shoots like this in the future!
