Amazing natural wonder, definitely NOT man's creation. About 1 hour boat underground river journey that will take you to breath taking views you may not see in your lifetime anywhere. Being included to New7Wonder of Nature was long overdue.
Keep in mind that this is a 2hours journey from main Puerto Princesa, so 3-4 hours round trip. Upon arrival to sabang, you have 15-20mins boat ride to a beach which you walk through the water to access. Then there is a 45minutes cave ride. which is 25mins in, 25mins out. It's nice if you've never done a cave or if you're a serious cave enthusiast. I don't know if I would do it again.
The whole cave system is supposedly 20km in length but 99% of the tours only do first 1.5km. If you go to the tourist office in Puerto Princesa(at least 1 day advance), you can arrange to do 3.5km trip but doesn't seem like any of the tourist agencies offer that option.
Underground River of Puerto Princesa is a must visit once you visited the capital of Palawan. Where you witness the superb creation of nature from its long stretch of River and amazing stone formation of Satalactites and Stalagmites. WOW! No wonder it's one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature. Always encourage yourself to discover the beauty of nature.
Another Bucklist Checked.
