POWER SNATCH + HANG SNATCH PR at 215lbs. Everything about this complex is absolutely brutal! Still not quite pulling the bar into my hip crease, so my thighs are paying the price 😜 (ouch!). TODAYS #workout - lower body #strength What are you training today? 🔻#powerclean + #hangclean - build to a heavy single (no time cap). I hit a #PR (sub 200lbs bodyweight) at 285lbs. Super pumped about it ☺️ 🔻#squats (30X1 tempo) - for multiple sets of 5 before moving on to a paused variation (33X1 tempo) for a couple of triples! Managed to perform quite a few good sets at 315lbs. I definitely had more in the tank. 🔻it just goes to show, you can get stronger while losing weight if you focus on fine tuning the little things and prioritize recovery!
ITS TIME TO GET VASCULAR Like many of you, I also have aesthetics goals. Ill never be super jacked and tan, and im okay with that. I have learned to embrace my frame. But that is NOT AN EXCUSE! It is time to continue this shred all the way into my cruise in late February! I want to lose a little bit more body fat (about 5ish more lbs on the scale) by then, and come in at a solid 187ish. #sundayfunday with @thebriguy . 🔻build to a heavy snatch + hang snatch (w/ a 3 sec pause)... worked up to 205lbs (shown in video, then almost died a horrible and painful death😳😜 🔻front squats - 8 sets of 4 . Got brave sets 6 and 7 and incorporated a full 3 second pause... then i officially died 😵🧐 🔹Finished with arms, because what #legday isnt complete without a few sets of #curls and #extensions . Burnt a little over 800cals in under an hr! Not too shabby for a #sunday !
