While there are no exact rules for how much water to drink while working it out, there are some basic guidelines to follow before, during, and after you sweat it out. Start drinking water BEFORE you start exercising. 17 to 20 oz. about 2-3 hours before. Then about 8 oz. during your warm-up. While exercising drink 7-10 oz. every 10-20 minutes finally drink 8 oz. no more than 30 minutes after you’re done exercising. Some athletes even measure how much fluid they’re losing during exercise to get a more specific measurement of how much to drink. (That’s hardcore💪🏽.)
